Alice Robinson Boise, was the first woman to graduate and receive degrees from the Old University of Chicago (AB, 1872; AM, 1875). She became a teacher of Greek at the school where her father James R. Boise was professor of Greek language and Literature. Miss Boise later married the Reverend Nathan E. Wood.
