Collation cards of the Chaucer Project in the University of Chicago's Wieboldt Hall. The work of John Matthews Manly, professor of English, and medievalist Edith Rickert, the initial goal of the project was to establish an authoritative text of the Canterbury Tales. The objective was achieved by collecting, photographing, and collating all extant Chaucer manuscripts.
