Amos Alonzo Stagg (seated left), athletic director, professor of Physical Culture and Athletics, head football coach at the University of Chicago (1892-1932), and head coach at the University of the Pacific (1932-1946). He will be honored for his dedication to football by Pacific University, Forest Grove at an event held in Portland's University Club. He is pictured with his son Paul Stagg (standing left), university coach and athletic director, Walter C. Giersbach (standing right) university president, and R. B. Hammond (seated right).
