Charles B. Huggins, the William B. Ogden Distinguished Service Professor of Surgery at the University of Chicago. Dr. Huggins founded the university's Ben May Laboratory for Cancer Research, and was the co-winner in 1966 of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. He is pictured with members of the university's Cancer Research Foundation Women’s Board, Mrs. Norris C. Flanagan, Mrs. Fairfax M. Cone, and Mrs. Frederick W. Specht. Proceeds from the board's annual benefit, which will feature the Royal London Ballet this year, fund the laboratory's work.
