Description | Adolph Paulsen, an employee of the University of Chicago Department of Buildings and Grounds for thirty-five years, lays a sidewalk of flagstone from old Hyde Park at the heart of the campus. Mrs. Stephanie Shambaugh Kramer, wife of Ferd Kramer of Draper and Kramer, Inc. watches the installation. She has been advising the university on how to transform campus pathways into beauty spots. Jerry Zavitovski, Department of Buildings and Grounds horticulturalist has been carrying out Mrs. Kramer's landscape plan. This path and the area at the center of the quadrangles near the university Administration Building will be adorned with 2,000 tulips |
