Botany Building at the University of Chicago contains classrooms, workshops, storage rooms, and laboratories for study and research in the whole field of botany and related fields of agriculture and forestry. Botany Pond is both useful and ornamental furnishing algae and small hardy plants for study. The stone bridge was the gift of the Class of 1922. In 1962, the retaining wall was rebuilt.
