Sculpture, Martin Luther 1
II: Buildings and Grounds
In the great pageant of life-sized stone figures that will depict the March of Religion on the south façade of the new University of Chicago Chapel, now rearing its walls above the Midway at Woodlawn Avenue, will be this representation of Martin Luther. At the apex of the religious group will stand the figure of Christ. The carvings are made in limestone after models sculpted by Lee Lawrie of New York.
