Architectural Model 1
II: Buildings and Grounds
Ground was broken on October 17 for the $1,500,000 School of the Social Service Administration. A design of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the structure will join the Law School Center of Eero Saarinen and the Center for Continuing Education of Edward Durell Stone along the Midway Plaisance when completed in 1964. The School of Social Service Administration is of the oldest institutions in the nation to specialize in graduate training for social work and to conduct research on basic problems in the field.
