Description | Marble bowl fragment from Jarmo (Iraq) crafted using stone tools was one of several containers found during a 1954-1955 expedition by the University of Chicago's Oriental Institute. Dated ca. 4750 BCE, Jarmo was discovered in 1948, and is one of the world's oldest known agricultural settlements. |
