Nippur Expedition 46
III: Events
Drawing of an image from a seal of 1400 BCE displaying early agriculture techniques of seeding and plowing employed by Sumerians. The farming methods are similar to those described in a 3,700-year old farm bulletin written in Sumerian on a clay tablet, which a joint expedition of University of Chicago and University of Pennsylvania archaeologists to the city of Nippur in Iraq discovered in the 1950s.
