IV: Student Activities
When University of Chicago Sigma Club members held their annual fashion show at the Shoreland Hotel these styles were presented as the ideal wardrobe of the wartime co-ed. Left to right: Gloria Robinson in the two-tone gabardine ski suit; Virginia Butts wearing white gabardine slacks with blouse and red knitted jerkin; Lyn Hill modeling a two-piece gabardine slacks ensemble; Wanda Gryzanka in a corduroy jumper and white peasant blouse; Janet Wrissman wearing a dull green rabbit hair and wool afternoon frock; Sidney Strack modeling a black velvet cocktail dress with pale blue appliqué flowers; and Carlyn Truax in a black voile evening skirt with white dimity blouse.
