Disciplinary Committee Protest, 1969 2
VII: Chicago Maroon
"Rabbi" Jeff Mason (background), a recently suspended member of the class of 1969, blows a shofar as he leads more than 300 University of Chicago students across campus, from the Administration Building to the Quadrangle Club. The group was protesting the suspensions and expulsions, by a disciplinary committee, of those who demonstrated against the university's refusal to renew for a second term the appointment of Marlene Dixon, a professor of Sociology.
