| Description | Patricia R. Kirby, professor in the department of Physical Education at the University of Chicago (1967-1990). Ms. Kirby coached basketball, softball, volleyball, and badminton, and was central to the development of women's intercollegiate athletics at the university. A recipient of the Norman McLean Outstanding Faculty award, she was inducted into the university's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003. |
