Edward Lowinsky, musicologist and the Ferdinand Schevill Distinguished Service Professor in the department of Music at the University of Chicago (1961-1976). Mr. Lowinsky is pictured in Milan, Italy lecturing on the Renaissance composer Josquin des Prez who was in service to Cardinal Ascanio Sforza, a member of the family that ruled the Duchy of Milan.
