Ernest E. Quantrell, treasurer of the Class of 1905 at the University of Chicago. Later in his career, Mr. Quantrell served as vice-president of the investment firm Halsey, Stuart & Company, and university trustee (beginning 1929). In his parents' name, he endowed the university faculty prize, The Llewellyn John and Harriet Manchester Quantrell Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
