View | 3-D Chicks 2 |
Series | III: Events |
Description | Photograph of the hoods with built-in 3-D spectacles, used in the chick experiments on binocular depth perception. The experiment showed that chicks have binocular depth perception similar to humans and further, that chicks are able to locate accurately objects in space immediately after hatching by means of this innate binocular depth perception. As a result of this finding, it will now be possible to devise experiments on binocular depth perception, using chicks to shed light on the nature of three dimensional vision in man. |
