Adalbert de Vogüé. In 1932, Parisian publisher M. Edouard Champion sent a gift of 135 photographs to the University of Chicago. Titled Messages Françaises, the images of the collection were of French politicians, writers, diplomats, and artists, and each was framed and placed on display in Wieboldt Hall, the Department of Art, and International House.
