Dr. Friedrich Krefter (architect of the Persepolis expedition) and workman with the inscribed silver and gold cornerstone tablets enclosed in a limestone box which was excavated from the foundation of Darius's palace by the University of Chicago's Oriental Institute Expedition. At the right, a second workman holds a round stone that had covered the box.
