Description | Students listen to Eqbal Ahmad, Pakistani journalist and anti-war activist speaking at the University of Chicago's Rockefeller Chapel in 1971. That year, Ahmad and six Catholic priests and nuns lead by Fr. Philip Berrigan, were charged with conspiracy to kidnap National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger for waging an illegal war in Vietnam. After the charges were filed in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the group became known as the Harrisburg Seven. |
