Description | Large inflatable rat erected by members of the Pointers, Caulkers, and Cleaners Union, Local 52 in front of the University of Chicago's Social Sciences Building. The rubber rodent was installed as a means to protest the university's decision to hire workers from Armory Shield, a masonry restoration company which the union says does not pay workers a living wage (2nd of 3 photographs). |
