Foster Hall
Interior, Student Rooms 1
II: Buildings and Grounds
Foster Hall, built in 1893, is the oldest of the women's dormitories now in use at the University of Chicago and presently houses sixty-three women students. Its rooms are odd-shaped and crowded, with high ceilings and small windows. Green Hall, built in 1899, the newest of the women's residences, is similar to Foster in size and room arrangement.
