Egyptian Expedition 10
III: Events
University of Chicago archaeologist James H. Breasted views the famous unfinished obelisk in the ancient granite quarries at the Second Cataract in Upper Egypt. This vast ancient monolith, cousin of Cleopatra's Needle in London, and the famous New York obelisk in Central Park, contains a flaw (visible beyond Dr. Breasted). It weighs as much as a modern eleven-car Pullman train.
