Description | Edward Anders (right) professor of Chemistry, University of Chicago, is one of the editors of a special issue of Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta 31 (1967) which was dedicated to Harvey H. Nininger (center, holding journal copy), to commemorate his 80th birthday. Mr. Nininger, a meteorite collector and founder of the American Meteorite Museum, examines the meteorite on a table in front of him, as Carleton B. Moore (left), director of Arizona State University's Center for Meteorite Studies, looks on. The three men are attending the Meteoritical Society meeting, held October 25-27, 1967 at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Space Sciences Division, Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, California. |
