Robert Maynard Hutchins (left), former University of Chicago president (1929-1945) and chancellor (1945-1951), and Brownlee W. Haydon (right), assistant to the President of Communications at the Rand Corporation. Both men participated in the university's Round Table radio program which ran from the early 1930s to 1955. Mr. Hutchins was an on-air contributor, and Mr. Haydon served as editor of the transcripts.
