| Description | A new Men's Residence Hall at the University of Chicago will be ready for occupancy by mid-September, 1960. The unit shown here is located at 55th Street and University Avenue; a second unit, connecting with the first, will be constructed at a later date. Each two floors of this ten-story building form a residential House unit. Students in each House have their own two-story living room, kitchenette, launderette, and other facilities. The dining room on the first floor opens onto a patio and the playing field adjacent to the University Field House. A general lounge is on the second floor. |
