Description | Carved from a green-hued stone, this oval bowl dedicated to Inanna, goddess of love and war, was one of two identification pieces discovered by a joint archaeological expedition of the University of Chicago and the University of Pennsylvania at the city of Nippur in Iraq in 1952. |
