Description | University of Chicago military service training. Men between the ages of 18 and 45 are taking a basic pre-service military course over four weekends on the university's Mill Road Farm, the former Lasker Estate in Lake Forest. They are taught the proper kneeling position for rifle fire, and setting-up exercises, as well as, army organization, military law, map work, marksmanship, infantry drill, gas protection, elementary tactics, and combat games. |
