Guests sit on a dais in the Chicago's Ambassador East Hotel at a testimonial dinner to honor the 80th birthday of Morris Fishbein, physician and editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association. Funds were raised for a proposed center to study the history of science and medicine at the University of Chicago. Attendees include: Edward H. Levi (university president); Mr. Fishbein; Richard J. Daley (Chicago mayor); George W. Beadle (former university president); Lowell T. Coggeshall and Gaylord Donnelly (university trustees); Robert Finch (U.S. Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare); Wilber Cohen; and doctors Michael DeBakey, Charles Huggins, Leon Jacobson, and Christiaan Barnard (2nd of 2 photographs).
