VII: Chicago Maroon
Illinois Army National Guard commander at the Armory on 5200 S. Cottage Grove Avenue, where University of Chicago students demonstrated over the killing of four unarmed college students at Kent State University by Ohio National Guardsmen. The commander agreed to lower the flag to half-staff to honor the shooting victims (1st of 2 photographs).
